Professor Kwame Adom-Frimpong

He is a visiting Professor of Irish University Business School in charge of MBA Projects for students in West Africa.

Again, he is a visiting Professor of Entrepreneurial University Business School of Costa Rica and Ghana Baptist University College, Kumasi. He had been an adjunct lecturer from 2004 to 2018 at GIMPA. Subjects he teaches at GIMPA include, Financial Management, Accounting for Decision Making, Strategic Cost Management, Investment Management, Corporate Finance and Public Sector Accounting.

He is the author of numerous articles and books, including The ICAG manual of Strategic Financial Management, The financial system in Ghana and Public Sector Accounting.

Prof. Adom-Frimpong is currently the Managing Director of Mainstream Reinsurance Company and a partner of Adom Boafo & Associate, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants. He worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for five years as Audit Supervisor, five years with SSNIT as Head of Audit and ABC Brewery Company as Senior Cost and Management Accountant for four years.

Prof. Adom-Frimpong qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1990, and also qualified as a Chartered Banker (FCIB) in 2002. Prof. Adom-Frimpong is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, and a past President of the ICAG (2018- 2020), and a Past President of Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA-Ghana). He is a fellow member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (FCIIG). He is again a qualified Lawyer and Barrister of Law, qualification obtained from Ghana Law School. He is a member of Ghana Bar Association.

Prof. Adom-Frimpong is a member of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee representing the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He is married with three children.
