Ms Freda Stephanie Frimpong is the representative of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) on PIAC. She is currently the Regional Secretary of TUC-Ghana. Her previous work experience at the TUC include serving as the Deputy Head of Administration & Legal Department; and a Youth Officer. She also worked with the Public Utility Workers Union of TUC, as a Private Secretary and Administrative Officer.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), an MA in Labour Policy and Globalisation from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from GIMPA. Ms Frimpong also as an HND in Secretaryship & Management Studies from the Kumasi Polytechnic.
Ms Frimpong has taken part in both local and international training programmes like the G20 E- Learning on Social Protection by ILO ITC; Organising & Collective Bargaining in MNEs for Workers Rights, Turin, Italy by ITC/ILO; Outcome Mapping for Programme & Project Planning November 2010 Shaping Globalisation; and youth forum on climate change, by Friederich Ebert Stiftung (FES), Bonn-Germany, among others. She also has a number of local and international awards to her credit.
She is result oriented, and possesses appreciable skills in presentation, facilitation, negotiation, leadership & advocacy.
